New 440 Link antenna installed at the Albin 147.165 Site!

Saturday, 7 Nov 2009, a group of Hams, George, N7JJY, Pam, KD7LLI, Fred, KD7LLF, Pam, KE7UUD, Darro, KE7RQB, Mike, N7MEW and Tom, WB4UIC went to the Albin Site and replaced the broken 5-element 440 antenna and re-aimed it towards the 146.775 Site on Horse Creek. The party went smooth, and the antenna is back up and operational. The antenna is an Arrow A440-5S 5 Element Beam at about 90+ feet.

A New Home for the 147.105 / 146.775 Machines

After some though, it was agreed that these 2 repeaters will be swapped in location to eliminate the interference from the Base site on Horse Creek. The new Kenwood TKR-750 146.775 repeater is now at the Horse Creek site, and the new Kenwood TKR-750 repeater for the 146.105 is now at the Denver Hill site by Holiday Inn. This has seemed to eliminate the interference, and will be permanent homes for these repeaters.

The 440 Link Issue to the 147.165 Repeater in Albin, WY

The link between the 105 and 165 repeaters will be terminated due to the move of the 105 repeater. The link will now go between the 147.165 in Albin and the 146.775 at the Horse Creek site Northwest of Cheyenne. As soon as the link controller and radios are re-installed onto the 146.775 site, the link should be back up.
