13 October 40M Beam Antenna Pics!!!

13 Oct 2007 - The crew showed up about 10AM, and the WX was threatening, but no wind, and no rain yet.  So, we went for it!  The beam is an old Telex/HyGain 402BA 2 Ele 40M beam that I rebuilt.  It was about a year putting it all together, but I was insistent that I would get it up before the snow flew.  And, well, we just made it.  Sunday morning we woke up to snow (big flakes), and the 40M beam on the tower!!  WHEW!!  Just made that, eh??  What timing.  Anyway, the party went well, and it took us about 4 hours from start to finish in the rain.  At one point, the fog moved in so thick you almost lost Greg, WB7GR on the tower from a distnce.  Freaking cold, and everyone did a great job on the install.
